Our Lady of the Mississippi Abbey is a monastery of Cistercian (Trappist) nuns situated on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Mississippi river south of Dubuque, IA. A community of 22 Roman Catholic women who try to follow Jesus Christ through a life of prayer, silence, simplicity, and ordinary work. Join Connections Club to meet with Sr. Christine as she shows us a power point about their lifestyle. Sr. will give us time for ques- tions, and time at the gift shop for candy purchasing. We conclude with prayer. We are invited to stay and enjoy free time to look around and take in the beauty of [this] magnificent area.
