“A Touch of Grace” New Melleray Abbey Experience Monday, October 15 or Friday, October 19 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. New Melleray Abbey 6632 Melleray Circle, Peosta, IA T he monks of New Melleray Abbey invite you to Lunch and Learn. Come to the monastery and experience a rare glimpse into the life of the Trappist monks and their work of Trappist Caskets. During your visit, a monk will provide a brief introduction to the cloistered life at The Abbey. An opportunity to observe the monks as they gather in their limestone church and chant mid-day prayers, will be followed by a hearty lunch in the monastery guesthouse. During lunch, your hosts will discuss Trappist traditions and describe the monks’ ministry of Trappist Caskets, considered a corporal work of mercy. A casual discussion on end- of-life issues and mindful planning will bring the lunch to an end. After lunch, you will be invited to tour the monastery woodwork- ing facility. There is no charge but each session is limited to 25 participants. We will meet at New Melleray Abbey Church. Reserva- tions with AmeriClub are required, as are cancellations at least three days prior to the session. When registering, please state which date you prefer to attend. Directions: From the Julien Dubuque Bridge at the intersection of Hwy 20 and 151, take Hwy 151 south for 10 miles. At the “New Melleray Abbey” sign, go right onto Monastery Road. Go two miles on Monastery Road. The entrance is on the right.

Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new “good girl” Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sing and dance their way through. Trip cost is $115 per person and includes transportation from Dubuque, plated lunch, show, and driver’s gratuity. Full payment, refundable until August 22, 2018, is due with registration.
