Greetings, Friends! Summer has passed, and I hope you enjoyed every minute of it. Our Canadian Maritimes tour provided wonderful sightseeing.

Next is our 19-day trip to Scandinavia with 28 travelers. A day after returning from that tour, I’ll depart on a week-long trip to assess a destination for a future AmeriClub tour. Although our Fall Mystery Trip is filled, space remains on our Southern Country Christmas Tour. I grew up “a child of the ‘60s.” Although I didn’t agree with many of the philosophies and lifestyles prevalent during that tumultuous decade, I loved the music that permeated those years. One of my favorite tunes, performed in 1965 by The Byrds using words taken by Pete Seeger from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 of the Bible, is “Turn, Turn, Turn.” The first verse states, “To everything (turn, turn, turn) there is a season (turn, turn, turn), and a time to every purpose under heaven.” Now, for me, a new season awaits, as I announce my retirement as your AmeriClub Director in early February. Although I have surpassed retirement age, the announcement is bittersweet. Yes, I look forward to spending more time with my husband, Sam, and our four sons, three daughters-in-law, and twelve grandchildren. However, I have enjoyed be- yond measure sharing special moments with many of you. Turning the page to this new chapter admittedly does not come without a degree of hesitation. Together we’ve made happy memories and have occasionally shared tears. We’ve traveled the world together throughout my 17 years in bank travel, five

of those as AmeriClub Director. I am grateful that you have shared your fascinating lives and special dreams with me. I have truly been blessed by your friendship, trust, and support. The search for that special person who will step into the Director’s role and navigate a flawless transition has culminated in the selection of a wonderful individual known by many of you. Connie Francis has accepted the position of AmeriClub Director. See Connie’s note to you in this issue. Connie will train with me until my departure in February, when she will take the reins of AmeriClub. The last tour I will escort is our Mexican Riviera cruise in January. Speaking of seasons, I hope you will enjoy every day of [autumn]. It’s such a beautiful season!
